Nevada King Gold Updates Phase III Regional Drill Program at Atlanta Gold Mine Project

Nevada King Gold (TSXV:NKG) has announced updates to its ongoing Phase III regional drill program at the Atlanta Gold Mine Project. The company wholly owns the 12,000-hectare project located along Nevada’s Battle Mountain Trend, approximately 264 kilometers northeast of Las Vegas.

Cal Herron, Exploration Manager of Nevada King commented in a press release: “The first set of regional reconnaissance holes drilled during this Phase III Program tested wide-spaced anomalies east of the Atlanta Resource Zone within the Jumbo, Bounty, and Crossroads Targets, with assays pending. The current drilling is concentrated along the eastern and southern ring fracture systems of the Atlanta Caldera as defined by gravity and drone magnetic data. These major structural zones include the SQRT and northern extension of the West Atlanta Fault (Northeast and Lone Ranger Targets) together with the Silver Park region (Corral Target and Silver Park East and West Targets). Within these ring fracture zones, CSAMT data indicate several graben-type or cauldron-type depressions in the Paleozoic basement sequence that may have formed structural traps for confining hydrothermal fluids within a small area, similar to what we see in the Atlanta resource zone. The Company’s program is currently testing a wide variety of prospective structural environments, looking for evidence of a strong hydrothermal system capable of generating a satellite deposit. We already know from our Phase II drilling program what such a deposit looks like in terms of geochemistry, alteration, structures, and host rock lithologies, so it’s now a matter of drill-testing highly prospective areas to hone in on additional mineralized zones.”

Progress in Exploration

The drill program focuses on exploring and expanding gold resources at the historical Atlanta Mine. This property has a significant history of gold and silver production and is a critical part of Nevada King’s operations. The project hosts a National Instrument 43-101 compliant pit-constrained resource, including 460,000 ounces of gold in the measured and indicated category (11.0 million tonnes at 1.3 grams per tonne) and 142,000 ounces of inferred gold resources (5.3 million tonnes at 0.83 grams per tonne). These figures stem from a 2020 technical report filed on SEDAR+.

The Atlanta Gold Mine lies within the Battle Mountain Trend, a prolific mineral belt known for its extensive gold production. Nevada King continues to focus its efforts on identifying untapped resources and expanding existing reserves.

In related corporate developments, Nevada King issued 6.8 million fully vested stock options to select directors and officers. Each option is priced at $0.35 and will remain exercisable until January 6, 2030. The issuance aligns with the company’s stock option plan and remains subject to regulatory approval.

Rigorous QA/QC Protocols

The company also outlined its quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) protocols for the Atlanta drill program. Reverse circulation (RC) samples are collected on-site and undergo a systematic process to ensure accuracy and reliability. Samples are split into cloth and plastic bags with a nominal weight of 2 kilograms. Certified reference materials, blanks, and duplicates are introduced into the sample stream at a one-in-twenty sample ratio. This includes all three types of inserts within every 20-sample group.

A local contractor oversees the shipment of samples in secure containers to American Assay Lab in Reno, Nevada. Once there, samples are weighed, crushed, and pulverized to specified sizes. A 300-gram pulverized split undergoes multi-element ICP-OES analysis following a four-acid digestion. Gold assays are performed on 30-gram samples through lead fire assay with an optical emission spectroscopy (OES) finish. Cyanide leaching is used as an additional method to determine gold content.

To uphold standards, Nevada King submits certified analytical standards and duplicates regularly to American Assay Lab. These protocols ensure the accuracy of data and maintain the integrity of the exploration process.
