Company Description
New World Resources Plc, through its subsidiaries, engages in hard coal mining and coke production activities in central Europe. It produces and sells coking coal for the steel industry; thermal coal to electricity and heat producers, and other industrial users; and foundry and blast furnace coke. The company operates four mines and four coking batteries in the Czech Republic, as well as has two mining development projects in Poland. As of January 1, 2011, it had 396 million tonnes of reserves. The company also provides emergency and waste processing services. New World Resources Plc serves steel and energy producers in the Czech Republic, Poland, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, and Germany. The company is headquartered in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. New World Resources Plc is a subsidiary of BXR Mining B.V.
